Evening ritual

This is our wonderful Paige and Jack's evening ritual when Jack doesn't want to try getting himself to sleep. As you can see Paige takes one for the team each time with the aching back of a big sister who loves her little brother. Little angels!!

New Members of the family

Well as most of you know a few months ago we had to find new homes for our beautiful furry cats Parker and Piper, and now we are also in need of a new home again our friend that was so wonderful and took them isn't able to keep them. So if you know of someone who has a loving home for a couple of great indoor cats let me know. For Valentine's day Heidi bought me a couple of Beta fish to help ease my heart ache at losing my kitties. So today I added 6 new goldfish to our little collection of pet friends, here a couple of pic's of the little gems! We thought we had lost two in the transfer, but Ashley and I "fished" them out of the sink drain. Then one was floating near the top but he came back just fine, and is swimming like a "fish" nowhere near the top.

Up and walking...

With a great deal of help, thank the lord. Jack is up with his little airplane walker that our friend Melissa loaned to us, he and Isabella both love it. It lights up and plays wonderfully loud tunes. Though he does get distracted easily and moves on to other things instead of practicing the walking for too long.

New tough truck

Jack got a new Caterpillar dump truck and seems fond of it, very sturdy little yellow truck, drives well and takes a good beating without dings. I think I could write auto ads...

Learning about Nature

we are learning all about butterflies right now, the caterpillars started out about half a inch long and they are growing bigger and bigger each day, soon we will have butterflies to release into the yard. The yellow poster is of the butterfly life cycle. Isabella is very excited and anxious for them to grow and change, she can hardly wait. Each morning she checks on them to see how big they are and if it is time to put them into the butterfly house. we will keep you posted when that happens. Here is a little clip of them when they actually move, which isn't very often since they eat and sleep so that they can grow and change.

Self feeding...what a mess

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but I think a video is worth so much more. Jack has yogurt every morning and loves it, however he is getting to the stage where he wants to do it himself and that can be quite a feat, not to mention a big mess.

Tree Lady

"TREE"
LADY
Not many of you know about our experience a couple of Christmas' ago which has given us the phrase "tree" lady. So here it is, we were out getting the tree, or at least attempting to get the tree at a very local tree "farm". We waited and waited for an attendant to come and then when no one came we knocked on the door of the accompanying house, which took many knocks and then a phone call(sign indicated to call if unattended). When someone did come to the door we were graced with a woman of 50-60 years old with what appeared to be a hangover, and hair that was well something of mention. A late 70's type up do that had been slept in and had Bobbi pin hanging at the ends of her hair every which way, let me not forget to mention that she was missed buttoned and had pulled on what ever happened to be laying next to where she had been sleeping including some odd boots. She came out to the garage to unlock it to get the saw to cut the tree and couldn't get the lock combo to open, she just kept trying and didn't even notice when after standing there over 10 minutes that we left. Long story, and it may not even make you laugh so I guess you had to be there. Needless to say we didn't get a tree from there.

Sisterly Grooming

When you are small it takes small brushes and small people to make sure that your hair is "just so", Jack is so lucky to have a little sister to make sure that the back of his hair is well groomed. A little thank you goes out to Barbie as well for providing so many wonderful perfect sized brushes.

Hoppin' Hair

Flying high and free, we love the curls!

Tooth # 5

As some of you know Jack's little teeth haven't come in, in a normal fashion. The top two came in just fine and the bottom ones....well a little back woods hillbilly!! They came in with a HUGE gap in between, one on the bottom right and the other way over on the left. But now we are moving in the right direction he has produced a beautiful pearly white right in the center of the two bottom teeth. WOOOOHOOOO

Gotta Support the Team

Just a little photo of Jack supporting the team!! Thank you Auntie Joan for the threads, we love it and its green so that makes it even better!!!!

House of the ILL

We are all sick at home. Jack has been sick, crabby and clingy for the past week, we took him to the doctor on Wednesday to recheck his lymph nodes that seem to be over running his little body and found out that he has Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. Sounds pretty serious, but is a virus that causes all of the above symptoms as well as sore throat, rash, and cold like symptoms, and lasts from 1-3 weeks. He has stopped drinking from a bottle and now is demanding the breast almost exclusively. I was able to get him to take Pediasure from a straw yesterday and a little bit of juice, but he is on strike from the formula. so we will see how long this lasts and pray it is over soon.
As for the rest of us, Paige and Abigail are bug free :) !!! Isabella, Heidi and myself are all with the cough and general crumminess. So there you have it our weekend should be fabulous and full of naps.
