Paige and Colin

Ok, I did steal this photo from Paige's Facebook, but it was too cute to pass up. Paige and Colin spent Valentine's Day at the beach in Lincoln City, and by the photos it was a beautiful Winter day there. So glad that they had such a nice time and were willing to share a couple of photos.....Thanks you two!!

Awaiting Spring, so we can play outside

We are patiently awaiting Spring...well not really. We spend Friday in the back yard picking up poooo and then attempting to mow the lawn. The mower is being cranky and probably needs a little tune up, so that is on the list of things to do this week before the sun really starts to shine and kick the grass into grow mode. Jack finally discovered that once you climb the stairs to the play structure there is a slide and its really not scary to slide down. Why on earth he couldn't figure this out when we first went outside I will never know, he had to wait until the sun had moved out of the yard and it was getting cold. Perhaps we can try again in the next couple of days and see what happens then. Today we enjoyed a little bit of the sun in the driveway playing with the dog and riding bikes, and by we I do mean Jack and Isabella. We were actually trying to clean out the garage...oh joy!! Jack had is first run in with Jonah's teeth while playing ball. Jack tossed the ball, but it went up instead of out, landed on his head and Jonah tried to catch it and nipped the corner of Jack's eye. Not to worry I think the upset lasted about 10 seconds and then they were back to playing fetch. What a trooper he is. Maybe tomorrow will be more eventful and sunny, we'll see I guess

A little walk last week...

Jack found a "twig" and decided that he should bring it along with him on our walk. What you can't see is how fast that branch got thrown aside at the sight of the balloons just ahead of him. He proceeded to scream bloody hell the rest of the way home since I wouldn't get him a balloon. I wish I could say that I understand the draw to those damn floating things, but I don't.
Everyone was happy when we arrived at Dutch Bros and got our "warm cocoa and ice cream". They didn't even complain about me stuffing them both into the jogging stroller that was made for one person. Gotta love the simplicity of being small and big rewards.
