1st Climb

Last night while I was folding the wash and trying to put it away Jack decided to be a BIG helper and climbed right on in to help. Not so much helping getting the clothes in the drawer as much as getting them out.
He was ankle deep in helping, right in his sisters bottom drawer. I wasn't able to catch him in the act of throwing the clothes out, but there were socks and shirts flying all around.
Caught trying to get into the cupboard as well, thank goodness he isn't strong enough, yet.

Out for the week

So it is official the older girls are out for this week with their Dad. So Heidi and I will be going it alone until our beloved nanny comes home this coming week. Looking forward to the wonderful weather which should take us outside and on small outings if the children allow. Though sometimes the farthest that we get is to the backyard in the sandbox. Jack loves the new sandbox and Isabella loves to put sand on Jack while in the sandbox so it works for all involved, depending on how you look at it. Nothing really new or exciting happening right now, but maybe the weekend will bring more.

Jack's check up

Jack was in for his check-up yesterday with the most wonderful Pediatrician ever! We are sad to say that we won't be seeing him anytime soon, since we are switching insurances to Kaiser, he has been our Dr for almost 13 years and seen all the children grow. We will miss Dr Thomas greatly, but will keep him in mind for any second opinions we may need.

Back to the check-up, Jack is growing quite well...22lbs 3oz, 31.5 inches tall, with a big ole head in the 90th percentile. So he is tall and slim according to the charts. Otherwise healthy and happy little guy, growing just as he should. He did enjoy a little game of "let's play in the cupboard" at the office. Climbed right on in and was very proud of himself, until we tried closing the door then he cried a little and came out. But went right back in, again and again and again.

He still isn't walking, standing on his own several times a day, cruising along everything. Crawls like his pants are on fire, usually while chasing his sisters. We aren't in any hurry for him to figure out the walking since we are certain that will only bring more destruction and mayhem.

WOW books sure make me sleepy

This is what has started happening when we read in the late afternoon! She drops off to sleep, usually throwing out some random line right before she nods off. The other day she said, "ducks have little beaks", made the sign for duck and then was out. Quite funny
