Another Long Day

After a long day at the Zoo and Playing the kids were quite tired, I had worked the night before and had only a smallish nap I went to sleep early. Here is the after math of our long day together.

As you can see there really isn't a reason to have such a large bed since we never use the whole thing. Everyone to one side always works best, since the kids must always be touching someone.

Jack and Ashley

Long Day??

I was away at work, but what I can gather from these photos is that Paige and Jack had a long evening and couldn't stay awake any longer. I will have to ask Paige about this and get the story.

Going away cake....

Ashley and Isabella decided to make their favorite cake today since Friday is Ashley's last day here with us for awhile. She leaves for Costa Rica Friday evening to study there for the month of July. We are going to miss her tremendously, but are excited for her opportunity to travel and really grasp Spanish first hand.

Isabella loves to help with baking, measuring, and always testing to make sure it is just right.

New Pic's Coming soon

I have been working this week, but Heidi has been taking pictures of all that has been going on, so when I am done with my stretch at work I will post them. It's been a crazy week here at work and I am so looking forward to a couple days at home in the garden a little sun and water makes everything better. As well as the One Republic concert this weekend.

Paige is now a WORKING Woman

I thought I would share a little note from Paige's blog about her new job!!! Hope she doesn't mind that I clipped it. I am so very proud of her and all her ambition!

Paige writes:

"I got a job yesterday, after nearly three months of looking and filling out those endless applications and making resumes. I am officially a pizza maker at Bellagios Pizza! I get my uniform in a few days and my schedule on Thursday! Needless to say, I am quite thrilled!!! And I need and want to give a huge THANK YOU to Kylie, because she still believed I would get hired long after I lost hope (I was turned down from interviews, etc). She sat with me on the phone, printing out new applications for me so I wouldn't lose my momentum. She screamed more than I did when we found out I got the job. She was at work when I told her heehee. Thank you so much Kylie!"

Bath Bubbles

This was just after the berry picking, everyone needed a little wash after playing in the dirt and smashing berries. Isabella was very concerned that Jack got his hair washed first!

After the washing is all done we always get to lay around in the tub for a little soak time by ourselves. I think this is Isabella's favorite part of bath time, when Jack gets out and the tub is all hers.

Strawberry Fields

We took the kids out to pick some strawberries on Monday so that we could make jam. However the weather hasn't been warm enough just yet to ripen all the berries. So we bought some after spending some time at the farm looking for the red gold!

Jack seemed to have a nice time playing in the dirt and squishing the berries all over the place.

Heidi tried to show Isabella which berries were the good ones, and when she found a few Isabella just ate them. I guess they were good after all.

Jack and Jonah

Naked Gardner

I don't think that I have any words for this other than.......LUCKY!! Wouldn't we all like to be this free?

Playing with Jonah

Sunday was full of backyard activities including refilling the pool, which Jonah was more than happy to help with. He loves the hose, I tried a couple of years ago to get him to stop messing around while I was watering by squirting him and instead created this little monster that jumps and bites at the water from the hose. He is such a puppy!! Did I mention that he just turned 10.

Jack loves the dog!! He is always trying to touch his toes, which Jonah does not like at all but he tolerates it. Jonah has decided that Jack is OK since he is slow and usually has food in his hands and "shares".

Isabella and Jonah played chase for some time as well, she would run and run and wait for him to chase her. Then when he would get close this is what she would do, just close her eyes and laugh.

Paige, Jack and Dinosaurs

This is my beautifully playful 16 year old daughter, the one who begged for a Dinosaur T-shirt while at the Zoo!! Youth is beautiful and I am so glad that the "kid" in all of us isn't gone!! We all loved the Zoo and even Heidi wanted a T-shirt with Dino's on it(sorry no photo yet).

By far the cutest Dino at the Zoo!!!

Jack simply got a very fun book, That's not my Dinosaur!
Isabella has one in this series about a bunny, very fun.
