Monday Morning Snow

Santa falling over in the front yard.

The squirrels and the birds haven't really been out since it started snowing. On the left is the squirrel feeder, both the platform and the lid are 5 inches deep in snow. Hope the squirrels are staying warm and dry.

We woke today to another good 8-12 inches of fresh snow. It is truly a winter wonderland at our home. Except for traveling to work and the store we are so happy to have some real winter weather and what looks like it will be a white christmas!!! I feel a little Bing Crosby coming on.

Baking Cookies with Mom

Jack is my little helper most of the time, and now that he has figured out to move the chairs around to get up to what he wants nothing is safe. However today was different, he and his sisters had been helping to measure, stir and pour.

Jack's first BIG booboo

Jack got his first real BooBoo this weekend! I had plugged the straightener in and put it in the bathroom sink, turned around to see what Isabella was doing and within a couple of minutes Jack was screaming. He had grabbed the cord and pulled it from the sink and grabbed it with his little hands. He burned his hand as seen above and then his thumb on the other hand. If this doesn't make me feel like a horrible mother I don't know what else could. He is doing just fine, doesn't even notice that they are there, Thank the Lord above!!!

Walk in the Snow!!

This past Saturday when it started snowing again, we took a little walk down to the school by our house. While the walk there was nice and quiet the trip back was filled with a screaming little boy. Isabella and I had a wonderful time and she was not ready to leave when Jack was, but as we all know the squeaky wheel....well you know. So when he was ready we had to go home. We had a nice walk in the snow no matter what the noise.

A little behind on the blogging

So I have finally found a couple of extra minutes to sit down and post some of the pictures from the last few weeks. I know that they may be out of order but then again so is life right now, with Isabella's birthday, a cancelled birthday party, work, driving in this weather, school closures and Christmas in 5 days and it is still snowing like crazy!! Could we really ask for anything more wonderful than a white Christmas? Isabella Jack and I are headed out for a walk in the snow that is still coming down, perhaps we will capture some great photos.

4th Birthday

Opening her Ponyville!! Which is pronounced PonyBille
Waiting for Mom to open it and get it from the box, they package these things like the security of Fort Knox

Watching the Ferris Wheel go round

Everyone is mesmerized by Ponyville

Jack loves it just as much as Isabella, who doesn't love something that makes that much noise?

Who Needs a Party if you have a cake?

Due to all the wondrous snow that came this past week we had to cancel the birthday party we had planned for Isabella's 4th birthday. However we did not cancel the cake. Isabella didn't even notice that there wasn't a group of friends missing or more gifts, the cake seemed to be enough, it only it were that simple for all of us.

Needless to say, we had cake and more cake and more cake. Thanks to Beaverton Bakery for making a very tasty cake.

Look who's 4

Isabella learning how to tell EVERYONE she is 4!!
Look at my new birthday outfit Grandma Lynn sent

Opening her first of many birthday gifts

Actual Birthday, birthday cake......more to come

Isabella's Sprinkle cake

Isabella had a wonderful time decorating a cake with Christmas sprinkles. Paige as you can see enjoyed eating the remaining frosting out of the carton.

Enjoying the Squirrels

Jack and Isabella love to sit in the front window and watch the squirrels on the tree, we are very good to them feeding them nuts and corn as often as possible in the feeders.

2008 Snowman

Abigail, Heidi and Isabella ventured out in the cold snowy weather today to build a friend made of snow.
